-
Typical applications: Aircraft and missile hydraulics, ordinance, servo/control equipment and severe industrial hydraulic systems where fire safety and system cleanliness are required.
Brayco® Micronic 882 is a fire-resistant, synthetic hydrocarbon hydraulic fluid formulated for demanding aerospace, missile, military and industrial hydraulic systems where safety and performance are critical. Micronic 882 is a low-viscosity, red hydraulic fluid (ISO VG 15) engineered to meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-83282D and is produced to micronic-filtered cleanliness standards to ensure reliable, long-life service in precision hydraulic systems.
This fluid delivers exceptional thermal and oxidative stability and resists polymer breakdown under high shear because it contains no viscosity-index (VI) improvers. Its formulation provides a high flash and fire point, an elevated auto-ignition temperature, and very low flame propagation — properties that reduce fire risk in high-temperature or leak-exposed environments while maintaining consistent hydraulic performance.
Micronic 882 is compatible with common system materials and can be used as a replacement and make-up fluid for MIL-PRF-5606 where specified; it is also compatible with MIL-PRF-6083 in all proportions. Typical operating temperature capability is broad (manufacturer guidance shows service from roughly −40 °C up to about +205 °C), making Micronic 882 suitable for a wide range of environmental and operational conditions.

Applications
Designed for aircraft hydraulic systems, ordnance and other aerospace and military hydraulic applications that require a fire-resistant fluid with MIL-PRF qualification. Also used in industrial systems where fire performance and low-temperature operability are required.Buying / Compliance Note
Always refer to the product PDS and SDS for full physical properties, material compatibility, handling, storage and disposal instructions. Micronic 882 is typically stocked in drums and pails; lead times can vary by pack size and current inventory.Warehouse instruction
Protect packages from the elements by storing them under cover. When outdoor storage cannot be avoided, position drums horizontally to prevent water ingress and protect identification markings. Ensure products are not exposed to temperatures exceeding 60 °C, prolonged direct sunlight, or freezing conditions. -
